Big Change....

So I thought I would share something. Before we left for Addis to get our girl, one of the things that we were busy doing in addition to packing, was putting our home on the market.

Through much prayer we feel that God is telling us to sell our home. We will stay in our area, but move to a more modest home. (or a more cozy home as we say in the realtor world)
This is definitely not the market to downsize in but if it's God's will, I won't worry about it.

It's fun showing your home and keeping it perfect when you just brought a baby home!:)

I am excited to see what God has next.....

hey amber,
we have thought about doing this as well. but now that we are planning to adopt twins, i think we can probably use the space of our current home. with four kids, it'll fill up fast!

oh my -- showing a home is sooo much work! but, i bet it's slightly easier with a baby than, say, a toddler, though. once they can run around and leave a wake of destruction in their path, it's really hard. so maybe this is a better time than in a year or so when ayana will be older and into everything? i'm trying to be optimistic here! :)

can't wait to see what God has in store for you as well!

Good luck! This will be an exciting time for you guys. (And, a bit stressful, too, I am sure.) I wish you the best and am sure that His path will be illuminated as you go through this new journey!

Wow! I'm considering the same thing. I'll probably sell in a year or so. From what I can see, you have a beautiful home. It probably won't take too long for someone to scoop it up!

WOO HOOOO for big change. You guys are so crazy taking on all this at once...adoption...doing your taxes...traveling...staging your house...selling your house...changing poopy diapers...Savvy's cheer...Rick working...playing with A. Ugh, I am just tired typing it all and that is not even everything...YOU ARE AMAZING! I have NO doubt that the house will sell, it is beautiful thanks to all your hard work. And wherever you move from there will be just as beautiful. You are the best decorator I know and no matter the house it will look incredible! We have been praying for the process and can't wait to see how everything unfolds! We love you!!!

I don't envy you even if you are a realtor. Moving with kids is HARD. We did it with two and I was exhausted. Doesn't help that we bought a house that required a lot of fixing up and updatings. We still are not done and we've been here for a year.
