School's back baby!

Well the day has come, the first day of 8th grade. Savannah was not looking forward to school. When I asked her if she was excited to go back to school, she said, no. I said, aren't you excited to see your friends at least. I guess, I just don't want to learn.

Ummm...I think I might be in trouble. Don't you go to school to learn? Not if you ask a teenager. lol

Letter to Savannah:

Your first day of 8th grade... You are simply growing up too fast Savvy! I pray you learn to appreciate what education can do for you. I pray that you will choose Godly friends and stay strong when under peer pressure. I pray you will take the road less traveled even when it's not the cool thing to do. I pray that you are a leader and not a follower. I pray that your inner beauty is even more astounding than your outward beauty. I pray you lean on God, Mom and Dad when you need support. I pray your mother doesn't embarrass you too bad. lol

I love you bubba!

Ok, now I am going to go cry...

What a precious letter you wrote to your daughter on her first day of school. :-D I hope she has a great year! I remember 8th grade with fondness. . . even though it was a lifetime ago! ;-)

She's at that age...

Kids have a zillion things on their minds in middle school...friends, friends, friends, oh and fun, shopping, and friends. Let's say, she's definitely normal. lol.

Well if it makes you feel any better, I homeschool and my kids still were less than eager to begin. Why you might ask? Because they don't care to learn anything either. Seems they would just be satisfied with an 8th grade and a 5th grade education. Yeah RIGHT. Keep pressing on...their hearts will surely change at some point, right?!??!

Very nice letter. The time sure does fly. You have done a fantastic job with Savvy and you have nothing to worry about. She will get to school and a few hours later will have forgot that she didnt want to go. Tell her I wish her the best school year ever.
