'Sesame Street' Teaches Self-Esteem

I friend sent me this video as well and I posted it today. I really like it. It's a catchy tune with a positive message. I've seen some criticism that the message is a little mixed because not all of the hairstyles look natural (and the message is supposed to be "you don't have to make your hair long and straight to be beautiful"). But I don't see it that way. I think it's a great video.

i have been searching for this video on youtube since i saw it on sesame street a few weeks ago. i'm so glad you posted it! i thought the chorus would be fun to sing to my lulu while doing her hair.

I love the video, too. I've seen some criticisms, but I think some people are just over-analyzing.

I loved this video clip!! This is a wonderful song to sang with young girls. I wish my mother sung this song with me when I was a child. Our perception of self definitely shapes who we become.
